Brief Description about Program :
RNTCP has been implemented in the whole State since 2005 . The Programme provides free diagnostic and drugs to the TB Patients . For robust monitoring and supervision the RNTCP Programme has established four Regional TB Programme Management Units at Agra , Bareilly , Lucknow and Varansi. Diagnosis of MDR TB is being carried out in all the 75 districts through CBNAAT Machines which provides the result in 02 hours only.PMDT has been roll out pan State from 2013 and Bedaquiline has been rolled out from June 2018.

Program Objective :
  • The National Strategic Plan (2017-25) proposes bold strategies with commensurate resources to rapidly decline TB incidence and mortality in India by 2025, five years ahead of the global End TB targets under Sustainable Development Goals to attain the vision of a TB Free India.
  • Find all Drug sensitive TB and Drug Resistant TB cases with emphasis on reaching TB patients seeking care from private providers and undiagnosed TB in high-risk populations.
  • Initiate and sustain all patients on appropriate anti-TB treatment wherever they seek care, with patient friendly systems and social support.
  • Prevent the emergence of TB in susceptible populations.
  • Build and strengthen enabling policies, empowered institutions, additional human resources with enhanced capacities, and provide adequate financial resources
